At the end of April, the tram line Strasbourg – Kehl rose from its ashes. 72 years after the end of World War II, the city of Strasbourg and the one of Kehl are once again connected by a tram line, which is a symbol of free circulation in a Europe without borders.
The European Parliamentary Association decided to celebrate this important occasion by organising for its members an exclusive presentation of the new tram line. On Wednesday 14 June, our members will have the pleasure to take a specially reserved tram from Strasbourg to Kehl and discover how the new tram connection was conceived. At the end of the journey, a cocktail at the beautiful Villa Schmidt in Kehl will be waiting for them.
This event is organised in partnership with the City of Strasbourg and the one of Kehl and will see the participation of Roland Ries, Mayor of Strasbourg, and Toni Vetrano, Mayor of Kehl.
For more information about the organisation of the event, do not hesitate to contact our general secretariat.
